Whether you have installed Guest Additions and/or Host Extensions (this solves 90% of the problems we see) Whether you have enabled VT-x/AMD-V (applicable to all hosts running 6.1 and above) and disabled HyperV (applicable to Windows 10 Hosts)
Unknown whether this is a single cause or multiple causes.This is just a friendly reminder in case you missed it. I haven't tried with a distro using Nautilus (such as stock Ubuntu).Īnd dragging files from guest to host is simply dead. So there may be a Thunar-specific problem for dragging from host to guest. Dragging files from the guest to the host does not work, for any configuration, any file, if the file is dragged from the desktop, or if the file is dragged from a folder open in Thunar.Dragging files from the host to a folder open in Thunar does *NOT* work with either configuration.Dragging files from the host to Geany works (ditto).Dragging files from the host to the guest desktop works (with host-to-guest or bidirectional mode).Dragging files to/from guest desktop, folder (in Thunar), or drag-and-drop-aware application (Geany).Dragging files to/from host desktop or folder.
I've then tested drag-and-drop with all the following permutations:. I've upgraded to 4.3.22 and upgraded the guest additions as well.
